Water Kefir with ginger

My water kefir grains ABSOLUTELY love crystalised ginger.

I add a few organic pieces of the crystalised ginger to a second ferment once the grains are pretty established.

I tend to leave them brewing in a mason jar for a couple of days and then transfer the ginger goodness into a bottle.  (make sure you pop the lid a few times a day – it’s got quite a fizz).

I bought my original water kefir grains from HAPPY KOMBUCHA but if you live locally I can hook you up as we have a steady growing supply.
