This is what I do..
Grab the nearest Nutribullet cup
Check the fridge for greens – if there are some there add one or two handfuls of spinach or kale. If there aren’t I have some powdered greens in the cupboard.
Juice of half a lemon
Some Himalayan salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric – I take this for it’s anti-inflammatory magic
Grind of black pepper (activates the turmeric)
Water or coconut water
Fats – almond butter perhaps or usually coconut oil (1tbsp)
I sometimes add in a bit of apple or orange if the bairn’s left some and to make it palatable you might want to add fruit but steady as you go. If the smoothie is to keep me going on a big teaching day I’ll stick a banana in.
Rough meauring guidelines
x 2 handfuls greens
x 1 sprinkle of fruit
top up with fresh water
add any magic powders
Grind and go!
